About
Inspired by Japanese and Chinese gardens with their landscaping, tranquil and calming effect of being surrounded by nature; retreats away from daily life for quiet contemplation, meandering pathways, discovering views of Japanese hills, waterfalls, rocks, trees and mountains.

Many Japanese garden ideas are designed to be admired from inside the home, often framed by a picture window or arch. The use of the circle acts as a window to a peaceful scene with mist and the moon hanging in the sky, with inspiration also taken from the views often seen through the circular openings of moon gates, a traditional element in Chinese gardens.

Hand pulled by the artist in her Brighton printmaking studio, this contemporary Japanese style circular landscape art print, is the first print in this series that complement each other when hung together. The other artworks are Dusk Grove and Between The Falls.
