About
Inspired by landscapes and nature with the subdued colours drawn from pebbles on Brighton beach and the blue sky at sunset, with the circle acting as a portal like window into another world.

Inspiration has also been taken from the Japanese woodblock printmaking art movement known as Shin-hanga (New prints), which merged together Ukiyo-e traditions from the East with European influences.

This contemporary Japanese style circular landscape art print on Somerset Soft White Satin paper, hand pulled by the artist in her Brighton printmaking studio, is the first print in this series that complement each other when hung together. The other artworks are Moon Over The Plain and Midsummer Moon.
