About
Inspired by a trip to the Isle of Skye, the largest island in the Inner Hebrides, with it’s beautiful lochs surrounded by rugged ridges.

I visited in the summer, and during my trip experienced an unusual 26 degrees weather on the island, with it cooling down a bit in the evenings, and a magnificent full Buck Moon illuminated the mountainous scenery and glistened over the water.

Inspiration has also been taken from the Japanese woodblock printmaking art movement known as Shin-hanga (New prints), which merged together Ukiyo-e traditions from the East with European influences.

This contemporary Japanese style circular landscape art print on Somerset White Satin paper, hand pulled by the artist in her Brighton printmaking studio, is the third print in this series that complement each other when hung together. The other artworks are Moon Over Mountains and Moonlit Peaks.
